Consultation
Your first consultation with Swish Image is free. This is when we establish what you want from your website (see 'Guidelines'), this will help us with the design and layout ideas on how to present your website and build a site map plan.
Planning
This is when we gather and sort all the information for your website. By doing this first we can suggest what, if any, additional information and/or images will make your website as informative and appealing as possible. If you have an existing 'printed image' that you would like to portray on your website we can discuss ideas for image consistancy at this point.
Design & Layout
The initial design and general text layout will be presented to you for your approval, there will usually be a couple of choices at this point, once you are happy with the design and layout we will go ahead with creating your entire site.
Domain name, Web hosting and Search engines
Swish Image can organise the registration of your domain name and set you up with website hosting. Search engines are an important part of attracting viewers to your site, therefore we recommend all our clients get us to register their site with the major search engines.
What Now?
Once your site is completed and on-line it is important to monitor and update it. Your website host will supply you with monthly website statistics which will give you helpful information such as; the number of overall visitors to your site, most requested pages and least requested pages and what countries your viewers are looking from. With this information, as an example, we can look at the least requested pages and assess what can be done to attract more viewers to these pages.
Pre-Consultation
This is when we look at your existing website. With guidance from you on your likes and dislikes of your existing website we can come up with some ideas on a new design/layout.
Consultation
At this point we will discuss our ideas for your new design along with your input for your new image. We will also look at the layout and order of the content to establish such things as; the most important information is the most visible, navigation and page titles are concise and the ease of navigation.
Planning
Planning involves the process of sorting content and images into the appropriate sections, also gathering together any additional content and images you wish to add.
Design & Layout
The initial design and general text layout will be presented to you for your approval, there will usually be a couple of choices at this point, once you are happy with the design and layout we will go ahead with creating your entire site. We can give a copy of your old website before replacing it if you wish.See 'Guidelines' for tips on keeping viewer interest in your website.
Consultation
If you are happy with your existing design but want someone to do the updates we will look through your site to get the 'look and feel' of it so we can keep the consistancy going.
All we need is the FTP information and preferably a copy of the original design files incase we need to change or add to graphics.
